The basics are a combination of three important elements. The grip the way in which a person places or positions there hands on the grip. The address position the way in which a person sets up to the ball, eg; stance and posture
and alignment the way in which a person positions there body in relation to there target. They are all equally important and when done correctly they give us the greatest possible chance of sucess.
The best golfers in the world work harder on there basics then any other aspect. They understand the importance of a great set up. They understand that setting up only slightly incorrectly can ruin there chance of hitting good shots. You dont often see a good golfer with a bad set up. And you dont often see a bad player with a good set up. I believe that around 90% of all golfers set up incorrectly over the ball, making the golf game even more difficult than it already is. Every year i watch golfers practicing and practicing, with incorrect bascis.
Practice makes perfect! Does it really ?
