Technique

"The sole purpose of the golf swing is to produce a correct, repetitive impact position and the method employed is of no significance as long as its repetitve"

How often have we seen champions or great players with very unique or seemingly incorrect swings. Some champions are such gifted balanced athletes they are able to find a correct repetitive impact position from almost anywhere . But for the vast majority of golfers this is simply not possible. Most golfers need to have good basics and good sound technique to have any chance at all of returning correctly to the ball! If your not hitting good shots consistently than for some reason youre not getting into the correct impact position, its that simple!

In my golf school i am using the V1 Pro Software (used by David Lebetter, Dr. Jim Suttie, etc) and high speed cameras capable of filming at extreme speeds so the swing can be analaysied in slow motion. In the golf hut there are 2 live cameras  and a monitor in front of the golfer. The swing is filmed and ready to be analysied within a second of the shot. This instant feedback is a fantastic way for the student to impove or maintain there technique. Learning visually through the use of slow motion  is a great way to learn. Its the quickest and most easiest way of understanding your swing and the correct swing technique required. Working on your technique can be  great fun, having a goal to work towards is important and seeing changes made can be very satisfying.

A great pleasure is obtained by improving

When working on technique its important to be working on one thing at a time .This is a area that i explain in great detail to my students. There is a lot of feel needed to play great golf and this is cannot be achieved when the the mind is full of technical thoughts. Through technique training we are simply trying to improve a position or movement and make it automatic, so that it makes it easier for us to find acorrect repetitive impact position!
